Graduation is such a funny thing. It is the end of one era and the start of another.
In many ways, it is the end of childhood and the beginning of adulthood. This is true whether we are referring to high school graduation or college!
In writing my graduation notes this year, I felt that there were three things that the graduate needed to know before embarking on their new adventure.
I wrote these in the graduation notes I sent:
1. Where you have been – your past has molded you, but it does not define you. You must remember your past, so you can move on and let go of it.
2. Where you are going – if you have no goals to achieve and no dreams in your heart, then nothing is exactly what you will accomplish.
3. Whose you are – God has called you by name, you are _______________ (Insert name of graduate), bel oved of God. Never forget that.
What advice would YOU give to someone graduating this weekend?
