On children, Zevia and delights of the heart

A few weeks ago, we had some iced tea on the back porch together.

This week, let’s pull up chairs ’round the table and grab a soda. Now, I’m not much for drinking soda, because of all those artificial sweeteners. However, Zevia is a soda that is practically guilt free. It has zero calories and none of those hurtful sweeteners. This stuff is sweetened with stevia.

So, I would pour you a nice glass, since Zevia sent me some free sodas to review. I would also ask if you wanted a coupon for some free zevia (If so, leave a comment below).

I might tell you how I have been delighted lately in my children. I am getting ready to start a behavior chart with my toddler in hopes that it might help her start thinking about her behavior choices. Yet, even when she is a terror of a toddler, I am still so incredibly grateful for that little munchkin.

I would tell you that my little guy is getting bigger and I can’t keep up, so we have had to move to start giving him formula. Somehow, that feels a little like a defeat. I’m not sure why, I just know it does.

I might even tell you that I have really been struggling to be a good wife. I am learning that I need to be much more encouraging to my man. I want to fill him up with words of encouragement, but most of the time I just… forget. He is such an incredible husband, I want to strive to let him know how often I think that!

Lastly, I would tell you about my faith. I would excitedly tell you that I am reading John Piper’s book, Desiring God, and it is so radically transforming my faith and my mindset. I want to learn what it means to be truly satisfied in my God. I am beginning to understand the truth that God is pleased when we are most pleased in Him. How amazing!

What about you? How are you doing? As a parent? As a spouse? In your faith?
