Chocolate Peanut Butter Surprise Cookies

Have you ever heard the song, “Love and Marriage?”

I feel like I should rewrite it, with the words, “Chocolate and Peanut Butter.”

I mean, chocolate and peanut butter DO go together like a horse and carriage.

Like peas and carrots.

Like peanut butter and… chocolate!

So the thing is, I have decided that this baby in my belly LOVES chocolate and peanut butter.

I have learned this because I have absolutely ZERO self control when it comes to chocolate and peanut butter.

Give me a spoon of peanut butter and I can walk away. Even a bit of chocolate isn’t enough to tempt me sometimes. However, combine the two and I am a glutton for pleasure!

Chocolate peanut butter surprise!!

Growing up, my mom often made chocolate cookies with caramel candies inside. Those were our special treat at Christmas.

However, for me, I want something more. I want something peanut buttery.

I got to thinking on rainy Saturday. I probably should have been thinking about laundry or how to raise my kids in this crazy world. However, I wasn’t thinking about that.

I was thinking about cookies. Chocolate cookies. And peanut butter.

And I was wondering to myself, what would happen if I made those same chocolate cookies, but put Reece’s peanut butter cups inside them instead of caramel candy?

So, I did.

This is what came out of that thinking process.

A whole lot of no self control.

And a few pounds.
