We are at it again.
If you remember, we gave some cookies to the kid’s Bible studies teachers for Thanksgiving using this hand print turkey bag.
They were a hit, so we decided to do something similar for our Christmas cookie bags.
A forewarning: Having kids make hand print bags are MUCH easier than footprints. At least that was our lovely experience.
Still, I think it was totally worth it!
Kid’s Christmas Tree Footprint Gift Bag
I found some green paint that I had from a few years ago (note to self, get some more paint!), and squirted a bunch on a plate. I then had Gracie (my toddler) step on to the plate and get good and painted. Then she was ready to step on the bag.
I realized that the first step is kinda a doozy. It usually ends up with a lot more paint that you bargained for. The second step, or footprint, is usually much better.
Once they were dry, I added some colorful touches. I used some of the craft supplies that we had on hand. I used a pom pom for one of the trees and our star stickers for some others.
I think they turned out super cute.
Now, we are ready to do our service project and pass these out!
Need something to keep those munchkins busy while you cook those cookies?
