Scripture Memory for 2015

Scripture memory.

It is something that is so easily neglected and forgotten.

Yet, it is SO essential.

The Bible says to put God’s Word into our heart that we might not sin against Him. (Psalm 119:11)

I have a tendency of trying to memorize Scripture and then I fail. A few months later, I pick it back up again, only to fail.

It’s ridiculous really, since memorizing comes easy for me. I have zero excuses.

So this year, I am aiming to memorize one verse a week. Each Sunday, I will share the verse I am memorizing.

Teaching God's word to our children isn't just optional, it is a command! Let's stive to do better this year!

This week, my verse comes from Deuteronomy. I chose this one because I am learning that in order to raise my children in a godly home, I have to be VERY intentional about it. I would like to become better about teaching my children about God and the Bible all during the day.

Would you like to join me? I would love to have more folks join this journey of Scripture memorization with me!
