These days are for the dogs

My mom has mentioned before that sometimes I say bizzare things on the blog, but it’s part of me. If you know me in person, then you know I say bizzare things all the time. That being said, I’m not sure it’s a real saying or just a Becky saying; but these last few days have been for the dogs. Meaning they have been rough. Hey! Ruff; rough; maybe that’s why they say it’s for the dogs.

The stress fractures in both my feet have been getting increasingly worse. So, I figure the Lord made me rest, since I wasn’t doing it on my own. Everyone in our household is sick. We got the cough, the sniffles, the fever, etc. It’s been rough.

But, it’s also been nice. There have been lots of snuggles. Lots of cuddles. And extra naptimes.

This is the reason I haven’t posted lately. Between the nose blowing, the fussing, the cuddling and rocking sweet children who don’t feel well; I just haven’t had the time.

So, once everyone is back on their feet again, and this mama is healthy too, I’ll be back with some more parenting challenges for you. I have plenty of new fodder.

Fodder…is that a Becky thing, too?

I’ve heard of the dog days of summer and I’ve heard going to the dogs. I’ve heard of being for the birds but not for the dogs. But why not? What do any of those really mean? This is why people hate trying to learn the English language…but also why it is so fun!
