16 weeks pregnant – baby #4

It seems like just yesterday that I was writing pregnancy updates with Levi. It wasn’t yesterday, but it was just last year. In some ways, this pregnancy is flying by and in other ways, it is crawling. However, that is nothing new. I have felt that way with all the other babies, too.

With Levi, I remember people commenting on how tiny I was. Many people didn’t even know I was pregnant until well into my second trimester, or even my third.

That is NOT the case with this baby.

This is what you get when you have a 2 year old take the picture. The other pictures were of the sky.

My theory is that we are further along than the sonogram predicts. While I am told we are looking at the first few days of September for a baby, I’m predicting it will be an August babe.

We got a sonogram last week. The sonographer was the same one I have had in the past. I really like her. I told her that this time, I was on to her ploy, and if she said anything about someone from the front needing her, I would know there was a problem!

She asked me if I had large, medium or small babies. Since my babies usually are around six pounders, I think I fall in the small category. She responded, “Not this baby!” Apparently, we have a large one. (Or my theory is correct and we are due a week or two before the actual due date)

16 weeks (1)

Watching in the distance while my three little ones play.

How far along? 16 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 4 pounds gained
Maternity clothes? I’m not sure what happened. Somehow between baby #3 (Levi) and this babe, I have lost the majority of my clothes. It might have something to do with the crammed packed attic. However, I am still in my regular clothes and they are being stretched to the limits. There is a shopping date planned for the near future.
Sleep: Oh sleep. I love that blessed sleep. All my babies sleep pretty well. They sleep through the night and all go down for naps at the same time (that took some work, but SO worth it). So, I actually get a pretty good amount of sleep, considering the fact that I have three little ones.
Best moment this week: Seeing my little one on the sono screen. What a blessing to watch them move and grove. The sonographer also told me that our baby is VERY active.
Miss Anything? Feeling rested. I know I said I get a good amount of sleep, but that still isn’t ENOUGH sleep for this mama.
Movement: Yes. Little munchkin is moving and groving a bunch. Mostly, I feel the baby when I am still, but sometimes, I will be walking and feel baby moving around.
Food cravings: Summer foods. Salads, fruits, meet on the grill.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Have you started to show yet: I think I started to show before we even knew we were pregnant. Something about this being the fourth baby in as many years.
Gender: I have a hunch
Labor Signs: Is it possible? I felt like I had a Braxton Hicks contraction the other day. I told myself it was too early, but…maybe?
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, just…tired. We have had a home full of sick kiddos and I think I have been fighting it off, too. That makes for some exhausted days!
Looking forward to: Easter! I am more excited about Easter than I probably have ever been. I can’t wait to instill the true meaning of Easter into our little ones!

Previous babies:

Levi, week 15 (see how small I was?)

Benjamin, week 16 (not as small as Levi, but not as big as current baby)
